KIPP Delta is part of the nation-wide KIPP non-profit network of 242 college-preparatory, public charter schools educating early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students. We are excited that KIPP Delta will serve over 1,200 students in Helena and Blytheville, AR in the 2022-2023 school year.

Your responsibilities as a Lead Teacher

As a KIPP Delta Teacher, Your Core Responsibilities Include

Curriculum Development and Instruction
Adapt and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics and assessments
Use data to inform instructional decisions
Provide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs

Help Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture
Embody and maintain school's values, policies and culture
Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers and staff
Establish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress
Show up for critical school events, including: staff meetings, open houses, parent teacher conferences and more

Demonstrate a Growth Mindset
Pursue challenging professional goals each year
Give and receive positive and constructive feedback with your colleagues
Participate in school-wide and individual professional development

Other Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Supporting student recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities as needed
Write letters of recommendation for students as needed
Qualifications

Qualifications

The following are required of all KIPP Delta teachers:
Bachelor's degree
Valid Arkansas teaching license or willingness to pursue state certification, if needed
Meet Arkansas Qualified Teacher (AQT) status by demonstrated content knowledge in the Core Academic subject area being taught. Please see the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) for more information: http://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/divisions/educator%20effectiveness/education-workforce-resources-data/arkansas-qualified-teacher-aqt. Passing scores on the PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II exams in the content area hired for or commitment to completing both tests within two months of hiring date
Pass criminal background check
Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap
