Traveling Project Manager – Event Operations Dardanelle, AR
Full-Time / Hourly Position Summary The Traveling Project Manager
oversees and coordinates customer location and field operations
across multiple locations. This role manages equipment operators,
machinery deployment, and subcontracted trucking services to ensure
projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within
budget. The position requires extensive travel to job sites and
strong leadership, logistical planning, and operational management
skills. Key Responsibilities Project & Field Operations Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects across multiple regions. -
Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and
logistics strategies. - Ensure proper deployment and utilization of
equipment and personnel. - Monitor daily field operations to ensure
productivity, quality, and efficiency targets are met. - Adjust
operational plans in response to weather, mechanical failure, or
logistical challenges. Team Leadership & Supervision - Directly
supervise a crew of operators, fleet of equipment and company
pickup trucks. - Provide leadership, coaching, and performance
oversight to team members. - Conduct safety meetings and enforce
compliance with safety standards. - Coordinate staffing levels to
meet operational demands. Equipment & Asset Management - Oversee
maintenance scheduling and condition monitoring of equipment. -
Ensure machinery is transported safely between sites. - Coordinate
with maintenance teams for preventative and emergency repairs. -
Perform some light mechanical repairs as required. - Track
equipment utilization and minimize downtime. Subcontractor &
Trucking Coordination - Manage relationships with subcontracted
trucking companies. - Coordinate hauling schedules to ensure timely
transport of materials and equipment. - Monitor subcontractor
performance and ensure compliance with safety and operational
standards. Budget & Cost Control - Monitor project budgets and
operational expenses. - Approve invoices from subcontractors and
vendors. - Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising
safety or quality. - Provide regular financial and operational
reports to leadership. Compliance & Safety - Ensure compliance with
federal, state, and local regulations. - Maintain adherence to DOT
requirements for trucking coordination. - Enforce company safety
policies and risk management practices. - Investigate and document
incidents or accidents as required. Qualifications - 5 years of
experience in agricultural operations, heavy equipment management,
or project management. - Proven experience managing field crews and
subcontractors. - Strong knowledge of farm equipment operations and
logistics coordination. - Familiarity with DOT regulations and
trucking logistics. - Proficiency in project management software
and reporting tools. - Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
extensively (50–75% or more). Skills & Competencies - Strong
leadership and team management skills. - Excellent organizational
and multitasking abilities. - Effective communication and conflict
resolution skills. - Budget management and cost-control expertise.
