Job Description Job Description Responsibilities: - Work closely
with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are
aligned to Product Roadmaps. - Responsible for End of Line Testing
Equipment, Parameters, scripts and Capex associated - Lead, Develop
and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products
according to NPDI program - Lead and Provide direct support for
plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development
programs. - Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard
processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods. - Identify,
justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies,
processes, equipment, and practices. Capital projects that support
Growth, NPDI, Product Transfers, Technical Capacity and Footprint
associated - Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new
and existing products. - Responsible for the execution of
Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process
- Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local
operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT - Accountable and Supportive
Role for Engineering Prototype builds with Design Engineering -
Actively intervenes in growth strategies for assigned BU, footprint
and technical capacity definition - Enables growth for Assembly,
Fabrication, Testing, Infrastructure using latest simulation
techniques, Digital Twin, Digital Factory - Implement best
manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide
multi-site manufacturing engineering support. - Assist with
business-critical capital projects including facility planning,
layout, and cost justification. /n /n Qualifications: - Bachelor's
Science Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Business
Operations Management and 5 years manufacturing experience -
Preferred - MSME/IE/MBA and 3 years manufacturing experience - Lean
Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications. - PC
working knowledge (MS Office, PDM system, CADD, Minitab) - Facility
or Production Line Layout development (using AutoCad or equivalent)
- Strong Mechanical aptitude - Knowledge of assembly and
fabrication processes - Knowledge of Design tools, methods, and new
technologies - Working knowledge of financial and business
applications - Skill in vendor analysis and negotiations - Strong
communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of
the organization - Effective use of Lean Manufacturing and Six
Sigma process improvement tools. - Preferred: Material Requirements
Planning proficiency (ERP/MRP software) - Preferred: Experience
supporting manufacturing of system-level Configured products
(containing controls and an HMI) - Preferred: Experience compiling
and submitting Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR's) /n /n
Education And Certifications: Minimum: BSME/IE/Business Operations
Management and 5-7 years manufacturing experience Equivalent
Professional Experience - 7 years of proven career and expertise
Preferred MSME/IE/MBA and 5 years of Advanced Manufacturing
experience Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or
certifications. Requirements: - Extensive knowledge of formalized
Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications. - Extensive
experience in New Product Development and Product Transfers. -
Strong Manufacturing toolset for line definition, work content,
Process control, material handling and flow, ergonomics, simulation
and optimization techniques for existing processes - Excellent
vertical communication, interpersonal, and motivation skills. -
Demonstrated ability to think creatively; ability to coach, train,
facilitate and lead teams effectively in a transformational work
environment. - Demonstrated strong project management and technical
skills; analytical skills; PC skills. - Demonstrated ability to
achieve results through team building and teamwork. Focus on
