Overview *****This position is deemed Essential Personnel***** Manager of Operations oversees area interviews, ordering of supplies, completes bi-weekly and monthly payroll audits, fiscal activity, knowledgeable of SAP, Excel, Word, Balance Scorecard and Executive Strategy Management reporting, as well as other activities and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities General Duties: --- Assist with developing strategic plans to meet changing needs inside and outside of the facility.--- Ensures that the department meets standards and requirements of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, state and city licensure, federal agencies, and other accrediting bodies.--- Manages the quality assurance program for services using statistical data by gathering and assuring productive and efficient processes to maximize the use of available resources.--- Responsible for establishment of long and short-term goals for self and employees with the development of plans and procedures to achieve them.--- Follows all hiring practices while consulting with Human Resources as needed and complies with all hiring and Affirmative Action policies and procedures.--- Ensures maintenance of performance records on each employee that clearly supports annual performance evaluation scores, sets performance standards for subordinate employees, completes performance appraisals for subordinate employees, reviews the skills and abilities of subordinate personnel.--- Reviews the needed skills and abilities for completion of the departments mission.--- Recommends promotions, reassignments and other personnel actions.--- Follows all disciplinary policies and procedures. Program Quality and Standards: --- Manages the departments Quality Assurance program by managing daily activities, projects, and Quality Assurance inspections to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to quality standards.--- Implement programs that are designed to provide a sanitary facility.--- Regularly inspect supervisory teams completed work assignments and recommends new methods to improve overall performance.--- Assist in strategically developing staffing assignments that ensure efficient, cost-effectiveness and completion of all tasks. Training: --- Comply with all annual training requirements and ensure that the supervisory staff meet all annual training compliance standards, which includes attending management meetings, completing all annual required training hours, and fulfilling all required UAMS compliance standards. Financial: --- Manages the departments operating budget by managing overtime hours of the supervisory and associate staff and assisting in the evaluation, justifying supplies, and equipment and purchases in a cost-effective manner as needed. May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: --- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, plus 2 years of experience in operations management in environmental services and/or other managerial arenas OR A.A degree in business administration or related field, plus 4 years of experience in operations management in environmental services and/or other managerial arenas.--- Must have a valid driver's license.
