JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW The Broker Relationship Manager is primarily responsible for facilitating the interaction between TriNet sales, Customer Experience (CX), and the preferred broker partner(s) in the client sponsored plan model. They will work with sales and external broker partner(s) in identifying the prospect's goals, budget and benefit strategy. If needed, the Broker Relationship Manager will also be involved, with the preferred broker partner and sales, in the presentation of options to prospects; and at renewal to clients on both the client sponsored and PEO plans, and providing subject matter expertise to the third-party administrator and CX team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES New Sales * Drive process of working with sales and preferred broker to present the client sponsored administrative option to prospects, identifying the prospect's benefit strategy and goals, attending presentation meetings as needed * Develop strategies and business plans to deliver and exceed expected business objectives and results * Lead all aspects of process of preferred broker providing client sponsored plans and pricing; facilitating the interaction between sales, prospect and preferred broker(s) Service * Provide CX with the final plan designs, rates, contributions prospect has identified at point prospect signs with TriNet; audit benefit administration system to ensure client is configured properly * Provide subject matter expertise for the PEO sponsored plans for the third-party administrator and CX team, assisting with issues such as file feed issues and plan questions Renewal * Guide preferred broker on both the PEO plan renewal and the client sponsored renewal to ensure collaboration * PEO plan renewal - provide third party administrator and CX with the updated rates and plan designs; audit system for accuracy * Client sponsored benefits renewal - meet with preferred broker in advance of delivery to the client to jointly agree on delivery strategy Other * Cultivate relationships with preferred broker partner(s) and third-party administrator * Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education: * Bachelor's degree desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience. Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): * Benefit certification preferred * Life and Health license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire Experience: * 8+ years' experience in benefits or insurance consulting * 5+ years working at a PEO or insurance brokerage preferred * Consultative or sales experience preferred * Experience with benefit administration preferred * Experience working with small groups (under 100 employees) preferred Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to connect with employees at all levels of the organization * Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws * Excellent interpersonal skills * Excellent presentation and facilitation skills * A demonstrated dedication to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace * Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.) * Minimal travel required * Work in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting * The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
