Work Mode: OnsiteLocation: Sheridan, ARThe Manager will Drive Continuous Improvement at the Site and Lean Manufacturing principles aligned with KOS, the (Kohler Operating System). Set Direction for short and long term Continuous Improvement plans and lead activities to resolve problems and improve Production Flow with a focus on True North. Train and Mentor CI Team and Site Leadership to Institutionalize Lean Manufacturing capabilities in the way we work, demonstrated by Hands-on and Coached application of robust process improvement methods.Owns the development, and achievement of Site s Continuous Improvement Roadmap s, and champions the activities to progress maturity in the 7 elements of KOS, Operating Culture, Safety, Environment, Quality, Production Flow, Materials Management and Asset Reliability.This position will interact with like roles in other FMV sites for knowledge sharing and best practice identification and replication.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESAlign the efforts and develop the capabilities of plant element owners through coaching, teaching, and sharing of best practices. Ensure that activities are consistent with and built upon the Kohler Operating System.Provide input for and lead improvement of key strategic improvement goals for the site. These measures include lead time, inventory turns, Internal and External Quality, Safety Incident Rate, Unit Productivity, OEE, etc.Mentors and assists plant element owners to create, maintain and improve business standards. Models results-oriented attitude among peers and those supported to achieve team objectives, including achievement of the Sites CI Savings targets and accurate tracking of savings data well aligned with Finance.Provide a tactical approach and project management expertise for cross-functional teams. Drive teams toward timely execution and thorough completion of projects.Leads internal workshops - teams will consist of administrative, professional and/or manufacturing team members, and teams will address tactical problems and opportunities with a project focus.Manage the information systems used for project documentation and tracking of key metrics related to KOS implementation.Skills/RequirementsFour-year degree required. Major program of study in the areas of Business, Engineering, Management, Communications are preferred, but not required,Minimum of 5 - 7 years of personal application experience with tools and methods well known in TPS, (Toyota Production System) methodology including Process Design, Visual Management, Standardized Work, Kaizen, Flow, Problem Solving and Teamwork. The Ideal Candidate will have demonstrated expertise in Six Sigma and or other advanced problem-solving techniques.Minimal travel is expected, but may have infrequent business travel for meetings and or business conferences.
