Job Description:
The Project Manager, Proposal manages RFP response proposal
projects, and other projects resulting in a deliverable, from the
pre-planning phase, capture management, and opportunity development
through the technical writing, editing, and delivery of a final
submittal for the customer. This highly skilled position manages
directly to a proposal schedule using project management techniques
and tools and works under minimal supervision. The Project Manager,
Proposal proactively identifies critical path items, work breakdown
structure, and stakeholders. The Project Manager, Proposal
identifies required resources and appropriate allocation needed to
ensure the project meets its milestones, deadline, and
deliverables. Tasks include project management, technical writing
and editing, stakeholder management, stakeholder education and
training. The Project Mana also conducts opportunity analysis for
Bid/No Bid qualification and develops elements for strategy, win
themes, differentiators, and the value proposition. Duties and
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):Manage projects
providing analysis, strategy identification, and overall project
approach.Assist with the tracking of long lead items.Confirm scope,
solution requirements, and required stakeholders.Prepare a Proposal
Management Plan, including critical path items, work breakdown
structure, timeline, milestones and required resources.Coordinate
stakeholder workgroups for qualified projects and begin capture
management.Conduct and/or Assist with Kick off meetings to begin
opportunity project.Establish and manage diverse workgroups with
competing interests to a single project schedule with critical
milestones that cannot be missed.Coordinate and assign writing
tasks to SMEs and monitor for completion.Maintain project
management tools including action item registers and schedules to
ensure stakeholder and content deliverables are completed on
time.Direct the production, reproduction, and binding/packaging of
proposal and all hard/soft copies.Assist company verticals in
project meetings and check in calls or conduct them independently
depending on project plan.Conduct RFP workflow coaching and
accountability for internal stakeholders, including training of the
various workgroups in the organization.Mentor Technical Writers in
proposal writing processes project processes.Ensure delivery of
final proposal documents for submittal prior to deadline 100% of
the time.Other reasonable and normal duties associated with the
Project Manager, Proposal position, as directed by the Director of

view.Research Skills - Ability to design and conduct a systematic,
objective, and critical investigation.Sales Ability - Ability to
use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to
gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea.Time Management -
Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work
within given deadline. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in English,
Communications, or related field. Equivalent education, experience,
and training may be substituted for the degree requirement on a
year-for-year basis. Minimum five (5) years in the technical
writing, journalism, and/or marketing and communications field.
Minimum six (6) years of progressive project coordination
experience required. University-level teaching and/or business
analyst experience may be substituted for up to five (5) years of
experience.Professional-level writing, editing, and word processing
skills. Mastery of the English language in written and spoken form,
including grammar, punctuation, and spelling/diction.Ability to
demonstrate effective time management with projects in a management
role.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks on a
day-by-day basis.Ability to work on multiple projects
simultaneously.Ability to interface professionally with diverse
workgroups and individuals while under pressure from multiple
competing deadlines.Ability to work a flex schedule if needed to
meet project demands. Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of
experience in telecommunications, Information Technology, or media-
related field. 3 years of experience working directly with
engineers and/or diverse operational and executive
stakeholders.Computer Skills: Mastery of Microsoft Office--- suite
including Microsoft Word---, Excel---, PowerPoint ---, and
Outlook--- preferred. Experience with SharePoint--- and RFPIO---

Compensation & Benefits: Hiring Compensation Range: $75k-$100k
(Compensation determined by the applicant's education, experience,
knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and
alignment with market data).Other Compensation: This role will be
eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation
