& Reporting Director provides leadership in developing,
implementing, and managing entity-wide and department-level
budgets, entity-wide and department-level position control, and
coordinates multiple regulatory and financial reporting efforts,
including development of monthly and quarterly executive-level
reporting and the entity's annual financial statements. The Budget
& Reporting Director regularly makes decisions for establishing
work priorities and managing activities, coordinates workflow and
interactions within the department and with other departments, and
leads strategic reporting initiatives or special projects. The
Budget & Reporting Director will function as assistant director for
the Finance unit, assuming unit management duties, as assigned, and
in the absence of the Director of Financial Services, including
supervision of non-classified, classified and/or temporary
staff.Qualifications:Minimum QualificationsThe position requires a
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or
a relevant discipline plus four (4) years of relevant professional
experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory or managerial
capacity. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus eight
(8) years of relevant experience as a budget/forecasting or finance
professional that shows the proven ability to lead a
budget/forecasting or finance office OR an active designation as a
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial
Manager (CGFM), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) will be
considered the equivalent of a Master's degree.Preferred
QualificationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or
similar professional designation. One year experience using Workday
or a similar accounting system to perform accounting and financial
functions. State government or Higher Education experience. Strong
Excel spreadsheet skills.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to
speak & write clearly & communicate ideas successfully. Ability to
organize, plan, & prioritize work. Ability to attend to details
while simultaneously handling multiple projects. Ability to
analyze, interpret, & apply relevant regulations, policies, &
procedures. Initiative to learn & maintain current knowledge in
area of assignment. Physical & mental ability to effectively
perform duties & responsibilities related to the job, which may
include long & irregular hours of work.Additional
