    Summary of Job Duties:***Must have the ability to travel to multiple locations within Little Rock and sometimes the state of Arkansas.

    The Assistant Director (AD) of Print and Mail Services is an integral part of the Support Services team working closely with the Executive Director and ISS leadership, to support the mission and vision of the institution, jointly set and ensure strategic direction of all print and mail services across UAMS, state-wide. This position will facilitate quality, efficiency, strategic objectives, and accountability to achieve optimal and cost-saving processes and policies around all print and paper services.
    The AD reports directly to the Executive Director of Support Services and will at times work closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor of IS & Campus Ops as well as the Vice Chancellor of Institutional Support Services. They are responsible for fostering strategic partnerships and ensuring all print and paper processes are optimized for maximum efficiency. The role of this position is to provide leadership and facilitate horizontal and vertical collaboration, communication to reach all stakeholders and ensure there is clear understanding of all initiatives. They also actively participate with Committees or Councils as needed. The AD for Print and Mail Services will also oversee all operations of the UAMS Mail Room through the supervision of the Mail Room Manager to ensure all processes are efficient and adhere to any regulatory and/or federal/state laws and guidelines, including U.S. postal regulations.
    Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study with six (6) years of finance and/or business administration experience with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience
    • Leadership of project design and management
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent oral, written and listening skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, as well as with the public
    • Excellent organization and time management skills
    • Ability to provide excellent customer service and to work independently as well as part of a larger team, as well as have the ability to influence others
