Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Now hiring a part time CRNA at Kanis Endoscopy Center located in Little Rock, Arkansas. 1099 status SUMMARY: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides professional anesthesia care through assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation of the patient. The CRNA is responsible for delivering safe, knowledgeable, compassionate, educative and individualized nursing care to patients and families. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs patient preparation, including but not limited to: review of medical history, acquisition of appropriate consents, administering medications, and setting up appropriate equipment Assists in relieving patient's apprehension before and during administration of IV sedation or anesthesia.

• Verifies that essential equipment is functioning properly each day.
• Selects, obtains, orders and administers pre-anesthetic medications.
• Documents the pre-anesthetic evaluation and obtains comprehensive informed consent for anesthesia and related services.
• Administers IV Conscience Sedation.
• Administers Moderate Sedation.
• Administers Total Intravenous Sedation.
• Administers Local Anesthesia.
• Administers General Anesthesia.
• Administers of sedating agents with Monitored Anesthesia Care.
• Administration of Propofol or any sedative, hypnotic or analgesic drug that does not have a reversible agent.
• Obtains and maintains airway and respiratory functions.
• Administers Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and advanced life support as required. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited/approved CRNA - Master's program Holds active/current--Registered Nurse license issued by the State--AND certification as a CRNA from an approved national--accrediting organization. Three years + years clinical experience in surgery or procedure healthcare including demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique, working with anesthetized patients, and other clinical situations found in a surgical or procedural setting.
    • Must possess a working knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment impacting ASC's, and the applicable standards of the AAAHC, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies for ambulatory surgery centers.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
