EMT-B Training (Rookie School)Through a partnership with -, MEMS
is able to offer college level training at our headquarters
facility. - MEMS EMT-B training, otherwise known as Rookie School,
is usually held 3 times each year as staffing needs occur.COMPLETE

date is announced. -You must meet the following requirements in
order to receive consideration for the MEMS EMT Rookie School:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Arkansas drivers license and acceptable driving record,
as defined by MEMS' insurance carrier
- Minimum age of 19
- Must be physically fit based; pre-employment physical is
required
- Must take and pass the Accuplacer college placement exam
(offered at MEMS at no cost)
- Must be admissible to SACC -
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass a criminal background check -Please note: Due to CMS
mandates, all MEMS employees in positions providing patient care
-must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.Suitable and qualified
candidates are selected for Rookie School and are paid an hourly
rate of -$11.00 -per hour while going through our full-time, eight
week in-house EMT training. After successful completion and
obtaining an Arkansas State and National License, full-time
employment is continued and graduates are eligible to bid for a
full-time shift and be a part of an ambulance crew.Licensed EMTs,
with no experience, receive a starting base annual salary of
-$32,000 with full benefits (Hourly rate is calculated based on
shifts assigned). After 1 year of service, base pay increases to
