Job Description:
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30) Description: Cath Lab Tech
*ARRT Certification Required* *MS State Licensure Required* Shift:
Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM, with 7 days per pay period of call
required As a Cath Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in
our cardiac catheterization laboratory, supporting physicians in
diagnosing and treating heart conditions. You will work as part of
a highly skilled team, directly assisting with minimally invasive
procedures and ensuring optimal patient care throughout. This is a
dynamic and demanding role, requiring a strong commitment to
patient safety, technical expertise, and teamwork.
Responsibilities: Assist physicians with invasive cardiac
catheterization procedures by preparing sterile equipment,
monitoring vital signs, and anticipating needs. Perform
electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other diagnostic tests as instructed
by physicians. Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment,
ensuring its functionality and sterility. Prepare and administer
contrast media and medications as directed by physicians. Monitor
patient responses to procedures and document observations
accurately. Assist with patient positioning and comfort during
procedures. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all safety
protocols. Educate patients about procedures and post-procedural
care. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other
healthcare professionals. Stay up-to-date on advances in cardiac
technology and best practices. Qualifications: Associate degree in
Cardiac Catheterization Technology or a related field.
Certification in Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or
equivalent preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cath lab
setting. Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
Proficient in sterile technique and infection control procedures.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure
environment. Compassionate and patient-centered approach. Excellent
critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
