Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with experience in stepdown care is needed for a night shift position in Marshall, TX. This contract role requires dedication and clinical skills to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications and Experience: Current RN license with stepdown unit experience Minimum of 2 years in a progressive care unit (PCU) setting Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA or ARC Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 effectively Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly Administer medications and treatments according to protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members Support patient and family education and discharge planning Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards Schedule: Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM Rotating weekends with no on-call duties Floating as needed, with no 48-hour shifts or block scheduling Location:Marshall, TX offers a welcoming community with rich cultural history and a friendly environment.
