As a leader in integrated healthcare services, Encompass Health Corporation seeks a dedicated Quality/Risk Director to join our team. This pivotal role ensures the highest standards of healthcare quality and risk management across our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies, and hospice agencies. The successful candidate will direct initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and mitigate risks associated with patient care. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-centered environment with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence in the healthcare sector. Develop and implement comprehensive quality and risk management policies and procedures across all facilities. Lead accreditation efforts and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate with clinical staff to conduct ongoing reviews of patient care for quality improvement. Manage the investigation and reporting of patient safety incidents and implementation of corrective actions. Oversee risk assessments and the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks. Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress toward quality and risk management objectives. Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of quality and risk management staff members. Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficient in risk assessment and management methodologies Effective communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred Risk Management Certification desirable
