Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Quality/Risk
Director to oversee the risk management and quality assurance
activities across our network of inpatient rehabilitation
hospitals, home health agencies, and hospice services. This role is
pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of patient care meet the
highest standards of safety and efficacy, following rigorous
quality benchmarks and regulatory compliance. The successful
candidate will lead initiatives to minimize risks and improve
service outcomes, develop policies, and manage audits and
inspections. This strategic role requires strong leadership skills,
a keen understanding of healthcare regulations, and the capability
to work collaboratively with various departments to implement
effective quality and risk management strategies. Develop and
implement a comprehensive quality and risk management plan in
alignment with organizational objectives and healthcare
regulations. Lead regular audits and inspections to ensure
compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Coordinate
with different departments to facilitate continuous quality
improvement and risk minimization strategies. Train and guide the
quality assurance team and relevant staff on best practices and
regulatory requirements. Analyze patient care incidents, identify
trends, and implement preventative measures. Prepare accurate and
timely reports for senior management highlighting risk and quality
performance metrics. Profound knowledge of healthcare regulations
and accreditation standards. Excellent analytical and
problem-solving abilities. Strong leadership and team management
skills. Effective communication with all levels of staff and
management. Proficiency in using healthcare IT systems relevant to
