Consider this opportunity The HR Business Partner contributes to the success of the organization and the team by providing HR support to managers and employees and managing the delivery of strategic HR programs and services to a defined client group. The HR Business Partner brings a good understanding of the full range of HR disciplines, a strong capability to deliver high caliber services to client groups and a passion for supporting and enabling the organization's people objectives.   • Acts as a consultative partner for all employees to develop a unified culture that inspires and fosters high performance, innovation and retention of performing employees
  • Builds collaborative relationships with Managers to deliver key activities
  • Provides input into design, development, and implementation of various HR programs and services in partnership with the HR Leadership
  • Oversees day-to-day activities of triaging the full range of people related programs and services for assigned portfolio group(s)
  • Leads improvement opportunities for operational effectiveness, escalates key issues and enables problem solving
  • Monitors operational/program performance; provides status updates and reports on operational/program metrics
  • Ensures the performance management process is implemented efficiently and effectively throughout the organization
  • Consults and coaches all portfolio(s) staff on strategic People and Culture issues and solutions, and supports them in understanding policies and addressing complex employee issues
  • Contributes perspective and opinion that is valued by the client groups
  • Guides client groups in effective workforce planning
  • Takes part in HR projects as required Here is what you will need to be successful: Education and Experience:
    • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or recognized equivalent
    • 3+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources
    • Union experience is an asset Knowledge and Skills:
      • Thorough knowledge of employment and related legislation equity principles and sound human resources practices
      • An ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions; bring issues to resolution
      • Efficient HR administration and people management skills
      • Excellent record-keeping skills
      • Excellent knowledge of HR functions and best practices
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines
      • Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software
      • Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills
      • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
