LOCATION: Administration Office, 600 Edgewood Drive, Maumelle, AR 72113Academics Plus Charter Schools, Inc. (APCSI) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Bookkeeper/Payroll position.POSITION TITLE: Human Resource OfficerQUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GEDBachelor degree from an accredited university preferredKnowledge of Arkansas Public School Computer Network preferredREPORTS TO: Business ManagerJOB GOALS: The human resource officer handles and provides support for various HR employeeprograms within the organization. The human resource officer will assist the businessmanager in all duties assigned.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:A. Maintain professional behavior, appearance and work ethic to represent Academics Plus Charter School in apositive manner at all times.B. Obtain full knowledge of the APSCN program and processes pertaining to Human ResourcesC. Process payroll based on APSCN proceduresD. Correlates staff absence with substitute payE. Maintains benefits and deductions for each staff memberF. Processes benefits and deductions accounts payableG. Become a district Health Insurance Representative (HIR) for Arkansas Employee Benefits DivisionH. Assist in development of forms, processes, and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the HRdepartment.I. Prepare correspondence, forms, and reports as assigned.J. Oversee the maintenance of employees' personnel files and confidential files.K. Recruiting staff to include developing job descriptions, preparing job advertisements and checkingapplication formsL. Process hiring related paperwork to include background checksM. Maintain strict confidentiality of information.N. Be prepared to take initiative and work independently to accomplish the goals and needs of the HRdepartment.O. Maintain an up to date applicant pool and process/sort job applications.P. Inform job applicants of details such as compensation and benefitsQ. Verifies incoming depositsR. Sorts the mail at the district levelS. Assist with the screening of personnelT. Communicate positively with students, parents, visitors and staff.U. Effectively and positively communicate orally and in writingV. Maintain a positive attitude and represent the school in a positive manner at all timesW. Cross train in the duties of the District Registrar.X.
