Job Description Job Description Our Client is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Copy Machine Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair multifunction copiers, printers, and related office technology at customer sites. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality service, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring customer satisfaction through professional communication and strong technical expertise. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair issues on copiers, printers, scanners, and multifunction devices (MFPs) at customer locations. Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and routine service to ensure optimal equipment performance. Install new equipment, configure print/scan settings, and verify connectivity (network, USB, wireless as applicable). Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems using service manuals, diagnostic tools, and vendor resources. Replace parts including rollers, fusers, belts, drums, developer units, and other wear components. Maintain accurate service documentation, including work orders, parts usage, and time reporting, in service management systems. Provide professional customer support and explain repairs, usage tips, and best practices. Manage assigned inventory of tools and parts; maintain company vehicle in safe operating condition. Follow safety procedures and company policies while working on-site and in transit. Coordinate with dispatch, technical support, and leadership to resolve complex service issues quickly. Meet or exceed performance metrics such as response time, first-call resolution, and customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required (technical school or certifications preferred). 1 years of experience repairing copiers/printers/MFPs or relevant experience in electronics/mechanical field service. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems; familiarity with toner-based imaging systems preferred. Basic understanding of network printing, TCP/IP, drivers, and scan-to-email/folder setup. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces as needed. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications Experience with major OEMs such as Ricoh, Canon, Konica Minolta, Xerox, Kyocera, Sharp (or similar). CompTIA A (or similar technical certification). Experience with service dispatch tools (e.g., e-automate, FM Audit, Print Management systems, etc.). Strong ability to work independently and manage daily route efficiently.
