Job Description Job Description Now Hiring Box Truck Driver in York, PA non-CDL DOT certified position First Shift Opportunity, Home every night $20/hour ? Job Description We are seeking a Box Truck Driver for a role with varying shifts from Monday to Friday, typically between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. This position involves the pick-up and delivery of products to customer or company locations via a truck. The ideal candidate will provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to our customers and stores. Responsibilities Drive a box truck or tractor trailer to deliver tires and/or wheels to a customer’s place of business or another company location. Load and unload tires and wheels, ensuring accuracy on delivery invoices. Obtain customer signatures on invoices/receipts for pickups or deliveries. Correctly fill out and attach tags or labels to tires; ensure all retread tires have a tag or label before loading. Maintain cleanliness of the inside and outside of the truck. Complete daily mileage and pickup reports and submit them each day. Perform routine maintenance on the truck to ensure vehicle safety. Use all provided safety equipment and report mechanical problems needing repair. Ensure all products leave with proper paperwork and report any safety rule violations. Perform miscellaneous job duties as needed to ensure prompt service to customers. Ensure VMR, driver’s log, and pre/post trip truck inspections are complete and submitted weekly. Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year of related work experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operation manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication skills with customers and employees. Basic mathematical skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Basic computer skills with training provided as needed. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Forklift Certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Capable of operating lift gates, box truck or tractor trailer, forklift, and computer and office equipment. Work Environment You will be working in a dynamic environment regularly exposed to wet, humid, and outside weather conditions, as well as hot and cold warehouse settings. The noise level is moderate. Uniforms are provided at a reasonable cost, and steel-toed boots or sneakers are required to ensure safety. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.
