Job Description:

Provide patient services utilizing medical ultrasound for the diagnosis of vascular disease under the supervisor of a physician.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Performs Vascular ProceduresVerifies patient identification and that the requested exam correlates with clinical history and presentation.Assesses the ability of the patient to tolerate the procedure.Uses independent professional judgment to adapt the procedure to optimize results.Operates the ultrasound equipment so optimal imaging and spectral Doppler display is obtained.Follows examination protocols. Analyzes findings throughout the course of the exam so that a comprehensive exam iscompleted and sufficient information is provided to the physician.2. DocumentationDocuments the procedure via images which are stored on the computer.Documents any exceptions to the protocol.Generates a written summary of preliminary findings using the provided templates.3. Maintains Equipment and SuppliesMaintains equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and reports problems to theAppropriate personnel. Maintains adequate supplies for the vascular lab.4. CommunicationCommunicates with the patient in a manner appropriate with patient's ability to understand.Explanation of procedure presented in a manner that is easily understood.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Associate degree or equivalent education experience. License/Certification ARDMS RVT required.Experience: At least 5 years experience in vascular testing.Physical Requirements: Job requires sitting or standing for prolonged periods, frequent walking, bending, stooping and repetitive motion.Skills: Must have excellent attention to detail and full knowledge of all vascular testing.Additional InformationRequisition ID: 2020-R0275283Schedule: Full-timeShift: Day JobMarket: CHI St. Vincent
