Receive and process specimens for analysis, maintain integrity
of specimens and ensure proper patient identification.
Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment, perform
routine maintenance and notify supervisor of any repairs
Instruct student in test procedures and general laboratory
Efficiently uses supplies, reagents, and materials through
effective cost-control measures.
Report test results accurately through computer and manual
requisitions; collate data for clinical interpretation, recognizing
and reporting critical data in a timely manner.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the department and hospital

acceptability, test results, abnormal findings, and any other
Conduct tests with minimal supervision according to departmental

Education: High school diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or
equivalent. Medical Technology student who had completed didactic
training as well as internship in the area of hiring.
Experience: At least four (4) years workplace experience (in the
specialty area designated on the job requisition) at an accredited
