The purpose of this position is to provide veterinary support to the Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health poultry health product lines, including both general poultry clinical practice and product-specific support with external customers.

Duties & Responsibilities\:


  • Clinical support for external BIAH poultry customers. Provide technical sales support to Field Sales through customer interactions, on-site customer training, and handling customer inquiries.

  • Conduct and/or support non-pivotal studies at both internal as well as external facilities.

  • Generate written and oral technical communications including scientific papers and presentations at professional meetings.  Ensure technical accuracy of promotional communications. Assist in creating sales tools such as PowerPoint presentations and technical bulletins. Provide oversight for all technical activities at assigned Strategic Account(s).

  • Develop and implement internal and external training and educational initiatives. Liaisons with designated Key Opinion Leaders. Provide technical training (internal and external) as it relates directly or indirectly to BIAH products, as well as Poultry wellness and disease states.

  • Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, etc.) and Company policy and procedures.  When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management.  Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to maintain BIAH's excellent reputation within the animal health community and internally.







  • Requires a Veterinary degree (DVM or VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution and experience or interest in poultry specialty practice.

  • Licensed to practice Veterinary medicine in at least one state in the United States is required.

  • USDA accreditation preferred.

  • Requires basic research skills, good written and oral communication skills, and good computer skills.

  • Basic poultry clinical medicine skills

  • Good written and oral communication skills;

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Basic understanding of research methodology, including data analysis.



Eligibility Requirements\:


  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
