Job Description:

The role of the Raw Materials Supervisor is to manage all incoming raw materials for the Little Rock facility. They will plan and direct the shipping and receiving of the raw material required for the production of finished goods. This person works closely with corporate planning to manage specified raw materials, using all available scheduling tools and resources to most efficiently utilize the plant's resources consistent with forecasts and customer service objectives.
The Raw Material Supervisor demonstrates core skills, which includes understanding of the company safety policies, adherence of the principle of conduct and action guidelines along with the Five Saint Gobain Attitudes. The Raw Material Supervisor exists to lead and manage all plant shipping activities and the raw material inventory control for the Little Rock Plant. The scope of this position encompasses the people, equipment and designated areas assigned to the shipping and raw materials departments and functions. The Raw Material Supervisor will plan and direct shipping activities, provide security to and improvement of the shipping and receiving process, provide a work place free from recognized hazards and which meets specific safety and health standards put forth by OSHA, and other State and Federal organizations. The position interacts very closely with all levels in the corporation including but not limited to the Site Leadership Team, the Regional Purchasing Agent and Controller, as well as, contractors and plant visitors.
Bachelor degree and three (3) or more years of experience in the Shipping / Raw Material / Purchasing field (manufacturing environment preferred). Must have excellent organizational and cross-functional skills, as well as oral and written communication skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Must be self-motivated, and be able to make independent, informed and prioritized decisions. SAP knowledge highly preferred. Must demonstrate core competencies of engagement in safe work behaviors, effective communications, listening, and organizational skills. Organization and Time Management. Knowledge of team building and dynamics.
Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week, speak clearly so others understand, vision acuity to see details within a few feet of an observer, accepting of criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other's needs, positive demeanor, and model change management for the business. Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing, navigating rough terrain and occasional lifting. May require long periods of sitting, walking, and standing, working on a computer or engaging in telephone conversation.
