Riggs CATDescription:The Rental Counterperson is responsible for
successfully providing excellent customer service by increasing
rental revenue for Caterpillar and Allied equipment.DO YOU HAVE
WHAT IT TAKES?WHAT YOU'LL DOPerforms all required steps to
accurately and efficiently process Caterpillar and non-Cat rentals
and invoicesMaintains records on all rental equipment that is
transferred or sold out of Rental FleetReceives and reviews
shipping and receiving documents from other branches to ensure
accuracy and completenessInput lost-sales rental dataUse iRent
and/or DBS to input reservations, write rental contracts, process
exchanges, close invoices, and process transfersCoordinates
shipping and receiving of machines with transportation
departmentThoroughly understand the rental processComplete rental
transactions through direct contact with customers, whether
face-to-face, on telephone, or emailAssist walk-in customers with
information on availability, machine application, and other options
regarding equipment in the fleetQuote rates and assist customers in
making decisions on best optionsAssist customer in financial,
service, and rental issues relating to invoice or account
informationResolve customer issues or concerns with independent
discretionGenerate and close rental contractsPrepare bids on new
and existing jobs and projectsUse independent discretion regarding
discounting rental rates, freight charges, hauling charges, and
customer damage according to customer situationRequirements:WHAT

or Competitor Sales or Rental ExperienceAbility to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to calculate figures
and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply
common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form.Excellent verbal and written
communication skillsIMPORTANT INFORMATIONWhile performing the
duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand;
walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and
arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or
hear. Employee must be able to lift 25 lbs of force occasionally
and 10 lbs of force frequently.The employee is occasionally exposed
to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and outside
