Job Description:

The High Performance Computing team is seeking an energetic and self-driven experienced Linux Systems Engineer to help support and optimize a variety of applications and workflows that require parallel and advanced computing resources. The candidate will be responsible for installing, integrating, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based solutions for a variety of applications in a large batch Linux based HPC environment.RESPONSIBILITIES+ Profile applications and determine their optimal resource requirement+ Participate in the design and implementation of HPC based workflows & solutions+ Collaborate with business customers to collect solution requirements+ Troubleshoot application failures and help design solutions+ Engage application support and development teams to optimize HPC hosted solutions+ Design and implement complex systems, using off-the-shelf and homegrown software+ Optimize system performance and scalability+ Provide technical support to users+ Monitor and troubleshoot system issuesQUALIFICATIONS+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent+ Strong knowledge of Linux operating system+ 3 years of experience with Linux server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance+ Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols+ Ability to script solutions in languages such as Python, Perl and Bash.+ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills+ Good communication and collaboration skills+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently+ Understanding of distributed computing and message passing concepts+ Strong understanding of batch scheduling concepts+ Strong understanding of containerization mechanisms and conceptDesired Skills:+ Experience maintaining CAE applications in HPC environments+ Familiarity with Structures and durability applications in HPC+ Familiarity with Cloud concepts and bursting solutions+ Experience with large scale storage systems (Lustre, GPFS, NetApp, etc.)+ Experience with batch scheduling solutions (PBS Pro scheduling solution or similar)+ Familiar with authentication and access control protocols (ADFS, LDAP, Kerberos) is a plus.+ Familiar with container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)**Requisition ID** : 8506
