Summary of Job Duties:
The Assistant to the Library Dean is a student employee with a
Federal Work Study award who provides administrative and clerical
support to the Ottenheimer Library Dean, as well as completes
special projects related to the Library's Student Success and
Collections Management initiatives. This position is governed by
state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
* Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma;
* Experience with computer applications;
* Proof of Federal Work Study Award.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
* Experience in a library environment.
Job Duties:
* Provides administrative and clerical support to the Ottenheimer
Library Dean;
* Completes special projects related to the Library's Student
Success and Collections Management initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
* Knowledge of Google sheets and documents;
* Good keyboarding skills;
* Good oral and written communication skills;
* Ability to follow instructions and perform detailed work;
* Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, move book
carts and lift up to 20 pounds;
* Ability to stoop, bend, reach;
* Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.
