Summary of Job Duties:
POSITION SUMMARY
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift - 0715 - 1545
The Patient Services Associate (PSA) is a specifically trained
member of the clinic care team who provides both clerical and
patient care support to the Family Medicine Clinic. The Family
Medicine Clinic provides primary care in a patient centered medical
home environment. The PSA works under the direct supervision of the
Clinical Services Manager (CSM) and under the direction of the RN;
performs tasks and duties for which they possess competency,
including blood draws and POCT quality controls. In the clerical
support role, duties include assisting with ordering and stocking
supplies, copying patient care documents, and courier duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (list primary functions of the position with
the percent of time generally allocated to each; percent of time
must equal 100%)

---Acquires initial and ongoing competencies for clinical care and
clerical components
---Assists the care team in providing efficient, effective patient
care
---Demonstrates competency in obtaining, maintaining and using
equipment necessary for patient care and clerical support

Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED Plus 1 year Patient Care in a health care
setting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to accept
and follow written and verbal instructions, ability to communicate
following Guest Care guidelines.
Successful completion of the UAMS PCT and PSC courses
