The Early College Experience program (ECE) is a partnership between NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) and northwest Arkansas high schools. Under this program, NWACC and participating high schools agree to help accelerate student progress toward a college degree. ECE offers a rigorous and rewarding course of study. Students in Early College Experience can take career and technical college courses and transferable college core curriculum courses while still in high school.

The Early College Experience (ECE) Enrollment Specialist reports to the Director of Early College Experience and is responsible for assessing student applications, handling student records, collecting information, entering and managing data and providing excellent customer service. The successful concurrent enrollment specialist is able to assess student eligibility for concurrent enrollment programs, make recommendations and maintain meticulous records. The outstanding candidate will demonstrate exceptional Excel, Word, PPT, Database and communication skills with a high standard of accuracy.

Essential Duties

  • Responds to inquiries and provides detailed information on requirements, processes, and policies.
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to prospective and current students.
  • Collects and assesses student qualifications for concurrent programs, services or courses.
  • Reviews applications to ensure that students submit all required documents.
  • Processes student enrollments, drops, withdrawals, etc.
  • Enters, updates and reviews data and records.
  • Corresponds with new and currently registered students via email, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Performs degree audits, monitors student success and provides intervention programs for struggling students.
  • Collaborates with high school counselors to coordinate parent and student orientation sessions
  • Works with Treasurer's Office in completing the billing process for ECE students.
  • Participates in College/Career fairs and other recruitment at the high schools. Rate of Pay: $15.07 per hour

    • Strong computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets, database, and relevant software programs.

      Professional Competencies

      Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2 years related experience and/or training.

      Understanding of education programs and tools related to community colleges.
