Summary:


The IV Pharmacy Compounding Technician I is responsible to prepare and admix sterile pharmaceutical products in a highly controlled, regulated environment. The IV Pharmacy Compounding Technician I will undergo stringent training program to become qualified to work in aseptic environment inside ISO 7 rooms and ISO 5 workspaces ensuring admixtures are completed properly per FDA and cGMP requirements.


Essential functions:


Prepare IV as admixtures for batch compounding of routine items. Typical admixtures prepared at this facility include IV Bags, syringes, and specialty container closures.

Verify incoming materials for use

Label, package, and document per written instructions

Document work performed at multiple stages in the process.

Package product in IV Bags, cartons, syringes, vials, overwraps.

Count materials/product to ensure accurate count

Participate and assist with line clearance activities

Replenish packaging materials to areas/work cells as directed

Complete end of batch reconciliation and count verification

Retrieve product samples

Requirements:


Required Qualifications & Experience:


High School Diploma or equivalent.

1 year of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or Pharmacy Technician experience preferred


Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Must have strong discipline and following of Standard Operating Procedures repeatedly.

Must be able to learn gowning procedures and maintain certification as well as wear all required sterile Personal Protective Equipment

Ability to identify, communicate, and solve problems to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety objectives are met

Physically capable of being on feet for up to 5 hours and sitting up to 4 hours at a time

Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 35 pounds.
