Job Description of Loan Assistant:A Loan Assistant's primary job is to support loan officers with their daily tasks in order to facilitate smooth loan transactions. A loan assistant is responsible for processing loan applications in compliance with bank policies, meeting investor guidelines and demonstrating lending strategies. This individual also provides loan support functions to include documentation origination and evaluating loan servicing, authorization, and/or recommend the approval of commercial, credit, or real estate loans.Duties and Responsibilities of Loan Assistant:Enters and maintains data on the system for new, renewed, and modified loansHandles ongoing loan requests, including new loans, renewals, modifications, and extensionsWorks directly with Loan Operations & Loan Officers so that loans are processed accurately and efficientlyWorks with customers to obtain required loan documentationReviews and clears loan exceptions weeklyGathers documents needed for annual loan reviewsAdministers and services active loansAssists with the processing of loan payments, payoffs, and advancesMaintains a working knowledge of bank loan policy and federal and state banking regulations, as neededOther duties as assigned.Qualification & Requirements of Loan Assistant:All hiring decisions are contingent on the selectee passing background check and drug screening.All hiring decisions are contingent on the selectee passing background check and drug screening.High School diploma or equivalentComputer literacy with a high proficiency in MS Word and ExcelWorking knowledge of web-based technologyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbally and in writingStrong organizational skillsDetail-orientedExcellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyService-oriented skill setAbout the Central Arkansas Workforce Development AreaThe Central Arkansas Workforce Development Centers specialize in recruiting and placing skilled professionals in a variety of industries on behalf of employers in Central Arkansas.
