Job Description:
is hiring A&P Mechanics -in -. Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Perform airframe and engine inspections
- Have knowledge of calendar, hourly, and progressive inspection
procedures.
- Troubleshoot and perform needed repairs to airframe components,
engines, and a variety of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic
repairs to other aircraft accessories such as starter/generators,
fuel pumps, hydraulic pumps, actuators, wheels, tires, and brakes.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and report findings of discrepancies to
appropriate personnel.
- Consult and get a plan of action approved before spending more
than thirty minutes troubleshooting a problem.
- Seek out discrepancies on the aircraft and report them to the
DOM or his designee. Write maintenance forms (squawks) on all
discrepancies found.
- Repair or replace defective or malfunctioning parts or
systems
- Perform structural repairs to airframe including sheet metal
work, riveting, patching, and fiberglass/composite repairs
- Perform oil changes, service hydraulic systems, provide
nitrogen and oxygen servicing, inspection and repair pitot static
systems, fuel systems, and batteries
- Ensure that all maintenance to be performed has been approved
for work.
- Install optional or added equipment to aircraft
- Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish a
job assignment
- Accurately tag and store items removed from the aircraft during
the dismantling phase
- Make required logbook entries of repairs and comply with all
company and FAA requirements
- Document descriptively, the findings found during inspections
in appropriate location
- Complete all required maintenance records and turn the aircraft
binders into Maintenance Control at the end of each shift.
- Respect the confidentiality of company, customer, and personnel
information
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors and
other staff members
- Demonstrate ability to tactfully handle difficult
situations
- Recognize and deal with priorities.
- Perform maintenance duties away from based on temporary
duty
- Ensure all timecards and time sheets are properly filled out at
squawk change or job completion and turned in at the end of each
shift.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Lead and other
technicians who are assigned to the same job.
- Make the best use of time during shift. Check with DOM or
Designee before logging any non- productive labor.
- Provide proper notification and advanced notice of absence
- Report to work on time each day, after lunch, after breaks, and
not leave early
- Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly manner. Clean up
spilled fuel or hazardous materials immediately.
- Maintain an awareness of and conform to all company policies
and procedures
- Wear a clean complete company uniform and maintain a well
groomed, professional appearance, appropriate for the
position.
- Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to
time by the Director of maintenance Qualifications: Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensing/Registration/Certification
- Required: Airframe and Power plant Certificate
- Valid Driver???s License Experience:
- Required: 1 ??? 7 years maintaining Corporate and General
Aviation Aircraft. Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively to the customers or employees of organization
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts and to apply concepts
of basic math Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical
