Job Description:
Join our team at the CARTI Surgery Center, where we provide
safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the
perioperative process. This is a general job posting for Registered
Nurses in our OR, Pre-op, and PACU departments. When you apply,

interested in. You'll deliver patient-family-centered care to all
populations, ensuring excellent outcomes through each stage of the
surgical experience.GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assess
and develop individualized care plans for patients in all
perioperative phases (pre-surgery, during surgery, and
post-anesthesia recovery).Provide patient education regarding
procedures, pain management, wound care, and recovery
expectations.Administer medications and monitor patients for
stability, ensuring comfort and safety.Perform surgical site safety
checks, prevent surgical complications, and maintain infection
control practices.Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery from
anesthesia, applying appropriate interventions when
needed.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure
continuity of care.Document all nursing care in the electronic
health record, adhering to legal and ethical standards.Act as an
advocate for patients, ensuring privacy, dignity, and patient
rights are upheld.Participate in quality improvement projects and
pursue ongoing professional development.AREAS AVAILABLE:Pre-op:
Prepare patients for surgery, including assessments, IV initiation,
and ensuring informed consent.OR Circulator: Protect patients
during surgical procedures, ensuring correct site identification,
specimen handling, and patient safety.PACU: Monitor and support
patients in recovery, manage acute pain, and assist in
post-operative care.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: N/AEDUCATION,
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:Graduate from an accredited
school of nursing.Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year
college program or technical school or nursing diploma.Bachelor's
degree, preferred.Current registered nurse licensure in
Arkansas.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Two years perioperative services experience,
preferred.Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft - Word)WORKING
CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Physically demanding, high-stress
environmentExposure to blood and body fluids, communicable
diseases, chemicals and other hazardous materials, radiation, and
repetitive motionsPushing and pulling heavy objectsFull range of
body motion including handling and lifting patientsManual and
finger dexterityHand and eye coordinationStanding and walking for
extensive periods of timeLifting and carrying items weighing up to
50 poundsCorrected vision and hearing to within normal rangeWorking
under stressful conditionsREASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve
practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or
schedule form.INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:Must interact and communicate
both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange
information regarding patients with physicians and other
departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis
while respecting the confidentiality of patient
information.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here
