difference:The Physician is responsible for assessing and providing
medical care to patients in collaboration with the Nurse Manager-
Health Services & PI and ARNPs, and ensuring the smooth flow of
consultations and referrals between medical staff. This position
also includes on-call responsibilities for the provision of medical
care outside of regular business hours. The physician must ensure
timely and accurate documentation of all assessments and treatment
decisions.Key Responsibilities:Performs physical exams, orders
diagnostic tests and provides medical treatments to patients
throughout their hospital stay, including after-hours on-call
coverage.Coordinates with other medical staff to ensure accurate
and thorough documentation of all assessments and provides clinical
oversight of ARNPs.Makes referrals for tests and consultations,
monitors ongoing care of medical conditions, and provides education
on medical diagnoses to patients and their families.Collaborates
effectively with staff from other disciplines and is knowledgeable
about the care and treatment needs of patients of different
ages.Adheres to company Code of Conduct Standards and understands
and complies with special precautions, disaster and fire safety
procedures, and abuse reporting.Additional Details: 8
hours/weekQualifications & Requirements:EducationMedical doctorate
(MD) from an accredited university.ExperienceTwo (2) years post
residency clinical experience in an inpatient setting, psychiatric
experience referred.Licenses/CertificationsLicensed in the state of
employment.Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and
applicable certifications.Board certified or eligible in internal
