Purpose and Essential DutiesThe Helper will do many basic tasks
that require physical labor on large commercial mechanical and
plumbing construction sites. Specific Responsibilities Include:
+ General construction clean up
+ Assist in material distribution
+ Assist mechanics installing HVAC and Plumbing
+ Learn code requirements
+ Maintain a safe and secure work environment and attend safety
meetings
+ Load and unload building materials to be used in construction
+ Operate or tend equipment and machines used
+ Follow construction plans and instructions
This position is Full Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Plumber
& Foreman.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
+ Ability to communicate on all levels
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Able to lift 50lbs
+ Must have adequate / reliable transportation to the jobsite
daily?
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
+ OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred
+ Plumbing & mechanical experience is a plus
Travel Requirements
+ Infrequent travel to Company or client locations. Approximately
10% of time will be spent traveling.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
Essential
+ Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, be able to
bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist. Must be able to
climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and around moving
equipment safely.
