Sourcing Support and Analytics Sr. Consultant/Consultant (Full
Time) in Little Rock, AR at Windstream Sourcing Support & Analytics
Sr. Consultant/ConsultantThe Ops & Analytics team provides system
management services for internal procurement tools and "software as
a service" platforms, as well as analytical support and direction
in the company's strategic sourcing and supplier contract
processes. Team members also lead continuous improvement
initiatives that involve identifying, analyzing, and improving
existing business processes to optimize performance; meet best
practice standards; or improve quality and the user experience for
end-users. This role will focus on data management of sourcing and
procurement related activities as outlined below. The position
requires interaction with internal stakeholders, the sourcing team,
finance team, and suppliers among others. This is a full time,
permanent position.Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing initiatives to drive savings for the company
through price compression, demand management, or other impact
mechanisms by utilizing data driven processes
- Maintain historical and current metadata related to sourcing
initiatives completed by the sourcing team
- Compile and maintain data for monthly executive level
reporting
- Regularly align sourcing initiative outcomes with financial
planning from a budgetary standpoint
- Designate suppliers/spend appropriate for inclusion in capital
lease activity, provide metrics on the status of capital lease
activity, and support the creation and execution of capital lease
schedules in concert with Windstream's financing partners
- Evaluates, analyzes, and enhances operations processes to
optimize process efficiency, reduce processing time, and mitigate
risks
- Identifies and obtains data sets that quantify process
efficiency; Analyzes data sets to identify process gaps in quality,
reliability, efficiency and risk; Develops cost-benefit analysis
and incorporates findings into business case
- Maps processes from end-to-end to gain full knowledge of
organizational process; Identifies inefficiencies or risks that can
be optimized through process redesign or enhancement
- Makes recommendations to business partners to ensure that the
introduction of new processes is smooth, effective, and sustains or
improves quality of output; Maintains relationship with business to
ensure continuous improvement after initial implementation
- Develop ad-hoc spend analysis and accurately assess material
cost drivers
- Access and manipulate large amounts of data into meaningful
spend analyses
- Work with business owners to develop an understanding of spend
drivers which help provide context for data used in cost
models
- Forecasts spend patterns to identify future spend management
opportunities
- Present and explain cost models to management, including
data-driven business recommendations and alternatives
- Publish monthly savings analysis of completed projects
- Other projects as assigned Job RequirementsRequired Skills &
Experience:
- Ability to engage, communicate, and influence effectively at

- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively
prioritize multiple projects
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Highly skilled at analyzing and presenting data for business
owner and executive level consumption
- Understanding of relational databases and the ability to
effectively work within them
- Familiar with accounting terminology and processesDesired
Qualifications:
- MBA preferred
- JD Edwards experience
- SQL experience
- SpendHQ or other spend analytics experience
- Microsoft SharePoint experience
- Microsoft Excel Experience
- Microsoft PowerPoint Experience
- GAAP experience
- Familiar with capital leasing processesDesired Qualifications:
College degree and 8 years professional level experience with 3-4
years supervisory experience; or 12 years professional level
related experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience; or an
equivalent combination of education and professional level related
experience desired.
