Job Description of Material HandlerThe Material Handler is responsible for moving WIP (work-in-progress) and finished good to and from the manufacturing area.Duties & Responsibilities of Material Handler:

• Supports the Manufacturing Department by supplying materials to specific workstations, as required by work orders.
• Maintains and safely operates all job-related equipment.
• Completes all required documentation accurately.
• Provides work-in-process, corrugated and packaging supplies to operators.
• Relieves operators for scheduled breaks and lunch as needed.
• Maintains accurate inventory by following SOP's regarding the scanning of materials.
• Maintains a neat and safe work floor and warehouse.
• Maintains Forklift/Clamp PM's.
• Works with other warehouse personnel in maintaining an efficient materials flow.
• Performs other related duties as required and assignedQualifications of Material Handler:
  • All hiring decisions are contingent on the selectee passing background check and drug screening.
  • High school Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
  • One (1) year Material Handler experience preferred.
  • Stand-Up forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and walk around for extended periods of time.
