Job SummaryThe Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring product, packaging and labeling conform to specifications and meet required levels of quality. The incumbent also tests materials before, during, and after production to measure the characteristics of materials and ensure that they conform to specifications.
Major Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains inspection reports.
• Ensures compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications.
• Maintains calibration of quality control equipment.
• Performs inspections across all stages of production.
• Conducts quality test procedures on product.
• Prepares and maintains test data for review.
• Evaluates data and drafts reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
• Identifies areas for quality control improvement and implements new methods accordingly.
• Communicates quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Skills Required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Solid understanding of test equipment.
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of inspection and/or production experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
    • Ability to sit for long periods of time
