This job was posted by https://www.arjoblink.arkansas.gov : For more information, please see: https://www.arjoblink.arkansas.gov/jobs/4322152 SummaryA Field Technician is responsible for assisting in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv Switchgear and Busbar 480VAC/15KVAC electrical switchgear, including PDU, ATS, PDC, circuit breakers, protective relays, plc, meters and other automated devices as well as mechanical repairs and modifications under the direction of senior technicians. The FT is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate. The FT is also required to maintain continuous communication with CRC, Supervisor, and direct manager.Qualifications2+ years of hands-on electronic experience or field services is desiredTraining in electrical theory and technologies. Experience and/or prior military service performing applicable job duties.Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentalsReading schematics and blueprints for power control, automation is desired.Power distribution, AC/DC, Voltage Circuit Theory and practical troubleshooting skills is desiredBackground in electrical power including low voltage through medium voltage and experience with most types of switchgear testing is a plus.Experience with programming PLCs and HMIs is a plus.Mechanical aptitudeHigh School Diploma or GED requiredStandard computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and ExcelSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusMust have ability to regularly lift at least 50 poundsValid driver\'s license is requiredFoster a Customer-First MindsetResponsibilitiesA Field Technician is responsible for assisting in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv Switchgear and Busbar 480VAC/15KVAC electrical switchgearThe Field Technician is required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriateAbility to evaluate the operating conditions of equipmentAbility to interact comfortably with all levels of internal and external customersMust have the ability and self-motivation to manage one\'s own schedulePerform general and preventive maintenance on switchgearRespond to emergency calls at customer\'s requestStrive to provide all customers a \'first time fix\' for their equipmentProvide accurate and timely communication to internal and external customersMonitoring and ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, guidelines and laws.Provide accurate and timely reporting of time cards, expense reports, etc.While performing duties of the above jobs, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smellThe associate frequently is required to sit and climb or balanceDrive Continuous ImprovementWorking Conditions:Travel is required, Individual assignments are typically 3 to 5 weeks in durationWhen on assignment, working schedules are typically 10-12 hours per day, 5-6 days per week, day, or night shiftThis is a hands-on field, travel type position.
