Job SummaryThe Senior Member Services Representative performs a wide variety of teller, administrative, branch operations and clerical duties. Duties include a high level of external and internal public contact and management of various records and file systems. Confidentiality is involved, and sensitive situations may be handled. This position is located in the HOPE branches in their various locations where volume and customer traffic warrants the presence of a Sr. Member Services Representative position.Primary and Essential FunctionsEstablish and maintain member accountsOpen new accountsAdvise new and existing members on HOPE products and servicesPrepare and process teller transactions efficiently and effectivelyAdhere to established cash handling and balancing proceduresPrepare corporate deposits dailyPerform a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to answering telephones, data entry, filing and assisting with loan applications and loan file processingInteract with community businesses and assist in developing outreach eventsMay train and coach MSR staff as needed and approve teller transactions as appropriateWork under moderate to minimal supervision and has some latitude for decision-makingResolve most questions and problems from other MSRs through knowledge of established policies and refers only the most complex issues to higher levelsProvide excellent customer serviceAdhere to all branch proceduresSecondary FunctionsPerform general administrative duties such as attending meetings, report production,Assist branch personnel with special projects as neededManage and organize outreach activitiesWork EnvironmentEmployee spends the majority of time in office environment, generally accessible to the public, customers, and potential customersNoise level in the work environment is usually moderateReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essentialDesired QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience3+ years Member Service Representative or teller experience in a credit union or bankStrong cash handling and customer service experienceConsumer lending experiencePrevious sales experienceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
